TAXES AND INSURANCE ON THE HOME
Who has to keep up the taxes and insurance on the home.

Unfortunately the owner is responsible for the taxes and insurance on the home.

Yes the owner of the home is responsible for both the taxes and insurance on the home. Make sure when you are budgeting how much you need that you also figure in this amount.

Linn is correct all taxes and insurance as well as keeping the house in good condition is up to the owner of the home and a requirement of the loan. If you become default in any of these you could lose your home or have to pay the loan off.

You could set this up with the bank to have it drawn directly out of your account on a monthly basis so that you would always be uptodate and not have to worry. I found that this is the easiest way for me to pay my bills now. I forget half the time to pay my bills.
